Walter Ruebush '32, captain of the football team his senior year, played center and lettered four years. It is only fitting that the first endowed scholarship for the Redbird football program be established in his honor.
Created through the W.F. Ruebush Foundation, the Ruebush Football Scholarship does more than remember the man who also lettered two seasons in baseball and basketball. It provides annual support for a current football player with at least a 3.2 GPA.
The Division of University Advancement seeks to enhance the image of Illinois State by cultivating relationships among our constituents and raising private funds to support university priorities.
University Advancement contains six units, which work together to accomplish these goals.
