A Friend Supports the Arts

Amy Chiotti of Eureka was a child of six when her brother, Norman Funk, was killed in a 1973 car accident. She remembers coming to Illinois State with her family to see plays in which Norm performed, and the excitement of being allowed backstage. Amy recently set up an endowed scholarship in her brother's name, the Norm Funk Scholarship for Theater.

The first $500 scholarship will be given this spring; the recipient will be someone with the same passion for theatre and life that Norm displayed.
