Parent Donors
Help make a difference in your child's college experience by supporting the Parents' Fund.
Your contributions will be used for enhancing the quality of student life on campus and supporting the work of Parent Services. Donations are secured through the annual Parent Telefund. You may also contact the Development Office at (309) 438-8481 for more information.
In 2005–2006, a portion of the gifts donated through the Parents' Fund helped to fund the following projects:
- Milner Library—The library staff sponsored study breaks during finals week, providing snacks and refreshments
- Phi Sigma Society—This group sponsored a research symposium that allowed students in biological sciences to present research to the University
- Student Association for Bilingual Education—Bilingual Advocacy Week informed the University community about changes occurring at the state and federal levels affecting the education field
- Choices Campaign—This is a series of presentations, activities, and a multimedia campaign that reinforces the message of students' power of choice
- Volunteer Appreciation Day—The Office of Disability Concerns recognized the 1,995 students who volunteered to assist campus students with disabilities
- Myers-Briggs testing—Funds were used to pay for the administration of the Myers-Briggs assessments for students' career development
