Margaret (Peg) Thomas Van Meter ’65 and her husband Roy made a million-dollar estate gift to the College of Education, the gift that put the Illinois State University campaign Redefining “normal” over the top of its $88 million goal.

**Illinois State improves in U.S. News criteria rankings**

Illinois State University retained its third-tier ranking while improving in several rating categories, according to newly released data from U.S. News and World Report.

Ten students to receive Madigan Scholarships

Ten Illinois State University students are recipients of a Theresa M. Madigan Scholarship in the amount of $500 each. Six of the students will be receiving the scholarship for the first time and the other four will have their initial scholarship renewed. The scholarship is renewable if the student continues to meet the criteria.

Fell Trust Applications Available

The committee is now accepting applications for FY2009 awards through Friday, March 28, from units, departments, and colleges on the Illinois State University campus.
